Hi there!

A few days ago a friend gave me his Puch Maxi N (1976) for a box of heineken (i want to drink it on my own but i think it was good invested). ^^
Now I have demounted the hole "bike" and want to make faster...give it a new paintjob and and and.
I want to build something realy special and need your knowlege as puch specialists.
My idea was to fix a scooter cylinder on the enginge but i don´t know which one has the right piston which can be installed on the puch crankshaft.
Know anyone a cylinder from a scooter brand like piaggio, aprillia or whatever which can be installied on the puch block? (with a few modifications of course!)
My second idea was to install a minibike ignition on the engine. It´s very light, can handle more rpm and i dont need a light at all. Do you tink thats a good idea?

U mean the engine of a minibike at the puch?

I think it is a bad idea, cuz u have to reweld the whole frame.

No it´s all about the Puch engine. I just want to fix the ignition from my mini bike at on the puch engine.

your idee sounds coowl. a few people put a scooter cilinder on a puch. i'm trying to make a minibike ignittion on my engin (puch with a lot of mods) so at this moment i cant tell if it works.

This a Pocketbike forum, yes puch engines are just in this type of racing world but i think you need to look her www.puchforum.net

taz22: Nice engine so far! Does it run?? Have you used a special piston from a scooter to fix the DR cylinder on it? Or have the piston the right size to put it on a puch crankshaft?

@crazyfrog: Very nice! But why don´t you cut all that "wind padels" of? It´s just balast isn´t it?

ihave cutt all that wind padels of and make het smoot it has a good gas respons

its not my pocketbike with the scooter cilinder;)

mine engine still hasn't run. need to fix a few more things before i want to start it. (ignittion is'nt complete)
but i gues it wil work out just fine:) and that it will have a lot of power.
